30 Must-Have Items when Traveling to Disney: Day 4

Have you heard the news? In September I will be traveling alongside our frugal-Disney writer Krista to Disney World! We both will be sharing all of our fun & frugal finds while we are there on the blog and on the EasternShoreMom.com & Krista Albrecht Disney Vacation Specialist Facebook pages! Be sure to “LIKE” them both and follow along. We have 30 days until our trip and Krista wants to share with all of you her MUST HAVE FOR DISNEY products so every day she will share a new one. Here is today’s Disney Must Have…

You’ve budgeted for your resort, dining, park tickets, transportation and now you are ready to go.  But, there is one last hurdle that seems to challenge even the most frugal parent.  What is the best way to handle the souvenir budget?

One way our family has been able to budget for our trips is to reign in the souvenir budget by bringing some small gifts or toys from home for our daughter.  Once the sun goes down at Disney, there will be a cart full of light-up toys and gadgets at every turn to tempt my daughter.  Most of these toys are in the 10-15.00 price range and  could quickly drain our souvenir budget.  We found these great light-up Glow Wands for 1.00 each at Dollar Tree.   Have a pirate instead of a princess?  Don’t worry, they have Glow Swords too!  We stock up on these wands and at a frugal price of $1.00 each, we can take one for each night of our trip and still save some money!
