30 Must-Have Items when Traveling to Disney: Day 1

Have you heard the news? In September I will be traveling alongside our frugal-Disney writer Krista to Disney World! We both will be sharing all of our fun & frugal finds while we are there on the blog and on the EasternShoreMom.com & Krista Albrecht Disney Vacation Specialist Facebook pages! Be sure to “LIKE” them both and follow along. We have 30 days until our trip and Krista wants to share with all of you her MUST HAVE FOR DISNEY products so every day she will share a new one. Here is today’s Disney Must Have…

Today’s Tip – Keeping Baby Cool While Touring The World

One of the first products that we found indispensable on our trips to Disney when our daughter was an infant was the Valco Universal Stroller Sun Shade.  This shade fits any stroller — even a jogging stroller.   Whether you decide to bring your own stroller, rent a stroller from an off-site rental company or rent a stroller from Disney then this shade will keep your child protected from the sun.  The screen allowed our daughter to see out from the stroller as we walked around.  However, an added feature is an additional set of sold panels that drop down to completely block out the sun.  We used this set of panels when our daughter napped in the stroller at the parks.
Price is around 40.00 and the product is sold from numerous online retailers or Amazon.com.
I was not compensated for my review of this product.  This product was a product that I purchased previously which I found useful for park touring at Disney.

  1. I found that renting a stroller from Kingdom Strollers is actually the way to go.  They have those great City Mini strollers, and the sun shades that are attached go really far down, and have flaps that open and close to keep the sun out during a nap.  You can also ask for a rain cover, free of charge, if they are calling for rain on your trip.
