Fairhope Publix: Lowdown on Charcoal Deal
Shannon & I got a phone call today from the Fairhope Publix to clarify the charcoal deal and what coupons the will accept. Here is the post that Shannon created to help you guys out on “qualifiers” and what items you can buy using what coupons.
UPDATE: I want to elaborate a little more on qualifiers. What is a qualifier? It is the item you must buy to get another item free/or dollar amount off of another product. While this can sometimes be a grey area of couponing the Fairhope Publix location is making it very clear. For each WYB coupon you wish to use, you MUST have an additional qualifier.
So let’s say I want to use the FREE Glad product WYB Kingsford coupon and the $2/1 ribs WYB Kingsford coupon. I would need to purchase 2 bags of charcoal(qualifiers) to use those 2 coupons. I also have a $2/1 Kingsford coupon.
My Plan:
Buy one bag of Kingsford ($6.99) and ribs.
Use $2/1 Kingsford ($4.99).
Use $2 off ribs WYB Kingsford.
Do you plan to buy charcoal this week at Publix? Kingsford is on sale for $6.99 which is a good price–even better when you look at all the coupon possibilities!

The charcoal is the qualifier. Each WYB coupon above is tied to a qualifier.
